It was a good weekend. Not what I expected, but very good. A few highlights (there were more, but it's later than I'd like to be awake with a 5:15am wake-up time):
- I rushed home from work to my parent's house so that I could go to a movie with my sister, her boyfriend, and one of his friends who he thought I might be a good match for. The double date wasn't so double, though, because another guy ended up coming (which made 5) and the intended guy had no clue what Brandon was thinking by inviting me. Also, in my opinion, the guy acted asexual and didn't engage in the group's conversation pre- or post-movie.
-My dad, sister, her boyfriend, and I went to Atlanta Motor Speedway for Friday Night Drag- $7 admission for spectators, $20 to race your car on the track. So fun! I was very jealous that dad got to drive my sister's Trans Am on the track- he got through 2 rounds of the drag racing in his class. I was very proud of him. I was also sad that I don't still have my lemon of a car from SF- Baxter- who would have been so fun to race (all 300 hp of my ex-ghetto ride). The people watching was superb, too- all of rural GA's best. I will race sometime soon. What a fun, cheap Friday night outing!
-The VA-Highlands Summerfest reminded me the weekly festivals SF has during the summer. Neighborhood block parties are always a good time, if for no other reason than people watching.
-I played Corn Hole at my friends' Patrick and Amanda's BBQ. It's nice that we can still play backyard games and have good, clean fun with really yummy food. The weather was gorgeous today.
I've wanted to write more than I have. I've done a lot in the last month and have been working hard. When I want to write, I'm either busy or should be going to sleep. But I'll try to be better at it this month. There really are some things I'd like a sounding board for.
