132 hours in SF

I was so blessed to be able to go to SF for 132 hours and got back yesterday. Flying standby is unpredictable, especially close to the holidays, so I didn't alert many people to my plans because I didn't have any set ones. It's always so good to go back- it's like I live there again for the time that I'm there. If anyone wonders what 5.5 days in SF gets you, check this out:

Landed in SFO.
Took BART and MUNI to my old house.
Crashed.

Walked with Sarah to her work.
Went for a morning run to the Embarcadero.
Did a little thrift store shopping at Out of the Closet.
Ate lunch with Damon- I had the taco salad from Little Chihuahua's, my neighborhood taqueria.
Wandered into some shops on Fillmore St.
Got a facial from Julia at Spa Radiance.
Cooked with Julia at home and hung out with Kathy, Sarah, Damon, and JD.

Ran in Golden Gate Park.
Rode MUNI- talked to a guy who was visiting SF about all the good places to go.
Rode Caltrain to Mountain View.
Walked along Castro St. and stopped at a Chinese bakery to get an egg custard and moon cake.
Caught up with the doctors I used to work with at the clinic.
Caught up with my co-workers on my old units at the hospital.
Went to the Stanford/Packard dietitians' holiday party- surprised everyone.
Stopped by Casey's apartment.
Went to Savoy's in North Beach.
Took a taxi back to Jackie's car and got into an argument with a drunk guy who was crossing the street at the wrong time.

Made a cheesecake for later.
Got tea for the road at Urban Bread.
Took off for wine country with John, Sam, and Anna.
Ate oysters by the water at Marshall's Grocery.
Drank wine in the sun at Copain.
Listened to Ron host our tasting at Merry Edward's.
Drove John's M3 back into the city.
Ate at Osha with Julia, Damon, and Sam.
Went to see Scissors for Lefty, my friend Steve's band, play in San Jose with Anna and Sam.

Made another cheesecake with Sarah for her to take to church.
Kicked it around my old digs with Damon and Julia.
Went to Cornerstone, my old church, and saw so many of my friends.
At lunch at Cha Cha Cha's with Rebekah and Rachael.
More thrift store shopping on Haight St.
Grilled out at Liza's with Raul and Sarah.
Ate Vietnamese with Kathy and Jeremiah.
Tried to get some ice cream at Bi-Rite Creamery with Ben, Amanda, Kathy, and Jeremiah, but they closed early.
Hung out at John Emami's with Kathy and Tom.
Moved my stuff to Kathy's to stay for the next few days.

Hung out at my first SF apartment with my old roommate Sarah.
Ate sandwiches at Ike's Place with Denny.
Visited Shotwell, my friends Michael and Holly's store and caught up with them.
More thrift store shopping on Valencia St.
Drank iced lattes at Urban Bread with Claragrace.
Cooked at Lauren's house.
Crashed at Kathy's.

Took the cable car and BART to SFO.
Goodbye SF for now...
